PDF to PDF/A

Archival format for courts and registries.

Processed on our server over TLS — deleted right after conversion

Convert a PDF to PDF/A — the ISO archival format that courts, registries and government archives require for long-term storage. Fonts get embedded, colors get defined, and the file becomes self-contained.

Conversion runs on our server with a professional PDF engine; your file is removed immediately after the PDF/A copy is delivered.

Frequently asked questions

What is PDF/A, in one sentence?

A restricted version of PDF designed for archiving: everything needed to display the file is embedded inside it, and features that break long-term reproducibility are forbidden.

Which PDF/A version do I get?

PDF/A-2b — the profile most submission systems ask for. If a portal demands 1b specifically, write to info@pdftray.com.

Will my file grow?

Usually a little, because fonts and color profiles get embedded. That is the price of self-containment.

Is my document stored?

No — converted over TLS and deleted right after delivery.
